Prepare & package
Cook beans in homemade barbecue sauce. No fixed formula was retained. Cool completely, measure three cups into a freezer-safe package, seal, and freeze.
Store & thaw
Keep frozen in the sealed measured package. Thaw in the refrigerator when practical.
Cook or reheat
Reheat gently in a saucepan, stirring as needed, until fully hot. Add a splash of water if the beans have thickened too much.
Finish & serve
Taste and adjust salt, sweetness, acidity, or barbecue seasoning before serving.
